Good afternoon wonderful Crosstown family;

I am writing to all who have been called by God the Father, who loves you and keeps you safe in the care of Jesus Christ . . . All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in this present time, and beyond all time!  Jude 1-2, 25 (NLT)

With our church name being CROSSTOWN, have you ever thought of the fact that we are the church all across town? Since we cannot be in person it doesn’t mean we are taking a break from being the church. This coronavirus crisis has driven us into our homes and neighborhoods to be the church distributed.

May this email letter find each of you enjoying the supernatural presence and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Here’s a reminder of what He said:

. . I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.  Matthew 28:20 (AMP)

In this email update I want to cover 4 things:

First, until further notice, we will continue to be one church meeting in a hundred homes connected together online. There will be an email reminder on Sunday morning for our online service with the songs and a bulletin. You can access our YouTube worship service by clicking on the following link at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXIQXE7bL42ujTR5lnSodow

Second, take time to pray:

Pray for mercy and healing for the sick, strength for the doctors and nurses, insight for the researchers, and wisdom for all officials in government.

Pray for opportunities to love and care for each other. Stay closely connected to the church family. Get together via Zoom with your Small Group. If you’re not in a small group, see number 3 below.

Pray for people, like your neighbors. Pray that the God you and I serve would encourage them.

Third, there are individuals who do not participate in a small group.  If you are one of them, would you like to join a group on Thursday evenings?  Let me know.  My contact info is below.

Lastly, I value your prayer as I lead Crosstown Church into worship this Sunday with our team; I value your partnership with me as we do church during this time. I value your relationship. You are important to God . . . and to me!  And I value your understanding during this time.

Let’s keep worshiping, praying, and studying the Word of God . . . and fellowshipping even if we have to do it using one of the many social media platforms!

I love you and am praying for you! –Pastor John
